WELCOME!
I am very excited to be your teacher this year! Some of your older siblings might remember me. I was the upper school religion teacher at ICS from 2004-2009. I am so glad to be back!
A few things about me: I live on a farm with my husband and son, William. Our horses, llamas, goats, sheep and chickens keep us very busy. I have two dogs- many of you know Franklin who is a therapy dog and loves making visits to our ICS classrooms. I am a life long learner. I graduated from North Hunterdon High School and am a very proud graduate of Villanova University - Go Cats! I also graduated with masters degrees from The Catholic University of America (education) and Loyola (theology/religious ed). I know all about studying and tests and due dates! I have been a classroom teacher for almost 15 years. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and continuing to learn from all of you! |
What to expect in class this year:
This is a very important time in your faith lives. You are preparing to confirm your faith and make it your own. This might be a time for questions, doubts, discoveries and much more. We will be learning and exploring the foundation of our Catholic faith. This year we will be participating in liturgical activities, prayer services and service opportunities. We will be studying the Gospels on a weekly basis and breaking open scripture each day. Our class will also be exposed to some wonderful Catholic literature and resources.
Learning and assessment will look different this year. We will all do our best and I ask that parents and students please keep the communication line open at all times. We are a family and I look forward to working with all of my students and their families.
